    SUMMARY OF WATCHES AND WARNINGS IN EFFECT:

    Flood Watches remain in effect in much of east Texas.

    Wind Advisories remain in effect in a small portion of east Texas
    near the center of Edouard.


    DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK
    ----------------------
    At 400 PM CDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Edouard
    was located near latitude 31.6 North, longitude 95.2 West. The
    depression is moving toward the north-northwest near 5 mph (7 km/h)
    and this motion is expected to continue before Edouard dissipates
    on Thursday.

    Maximum sustained winds are near 25 mph (35 km/h) with higher gusts.
    A gradual weakening of winds is expected to continue tonight.

    The estimated minimum central pressure is 1011 mb (29.86 inches).


    HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND
    ----------------------
    Key messages for Tropical Depression Edouard can be found in the

    header WTNT45 KNHC.

    WIND: Wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph may continue near the center of
    Edouard for the next several hours, with lower winds expected
    overnight and Thursday.

    RAINFALL: Total rainfall along the path of Edouard is expected to
    range from 5 to 10 inches, with maximum totals up to 22 inches for
    inland areas of east-central Texas. This rainfall is likely to
    produce additional flash flooding, especially in low-lying and
    urban areas. Additional significant flash flooding is likely over
    the Piney Woods area of eastern Texas. Isolated moderate to major
    river flooding is expected.

    Total rainfall over Southwest Louisiana from Edouard will range
    from 2 to 4 inches through Thursday.
