I was listening to a "conservative" podcaster earlier tonight who was suggesting that "NY Governor Hochul could impeach NYC Mayor Mamdani for breaking the law, which he did when he opened a socialist grocery store."

I don't know how true any of those statements are true, but let's assume they are and here's my hypothesis: If Hochul becomes "the governor who impeached the Socialist mayor, in defense of democracy," then that could help her re-election effort.

This wouldn't override Ron's suggestion that there really is a "DSA" chapter of Democrats trying to take over the party, but it could be a symptom of the "Soros Democrats" fighting back; throw a DSA Dem under the bus, and save her seat as the governor of NY? Hell yea, she'd do that, and George would support her all the way.

But too many people wouldn't see it that way.

    1. The communists would be outraged - and they ARE a signiticant force in the Democrat party now due to the Soros Dems' policies.
    2. The rest of us would see it as "The governor who is fighting the Socialists in her own party to decide to gets to be in charge." and you know that the Communists would elect another Mamdani right after that anyway.

This wouldn't override Ron's suggestion that there really is a "DSA" chapter of Democrats trying to take over the party, but it could be a symptom of the "Soros Democrats" fighting back; throw a DSA Dem under

The Left always eats itself at some point.

For me, I'll just watch the show and eat my popcorn. The Communism is on display for all to see.

In a normal town they wouldn't, but NYC residents wouldn't know a good leader if they seen one.

Yea, I don't expect a fair mayoral election to ever occur in NYC, but my point is that they can afford to do some shuffling if that's what it takes to keep Hochul as governor.

NYC's GOP candidate has Curtis Sliwa in 2021, 2025, and he said he will run again in 2029. IOW: The left has nothing to lose in NYC. It's Albany that they're worried about.

That's because NYC is now 99% illegals and useless people. They don't want a good leader. They want a free ride.

I don't know. I think the old guard Dems have much less power than we think.

They are always worried because they never actually EARNED any of their wealth.
They got it through illegal means. So if they lose it, they can't just get more because they only know how to set up grifts. And if they aren't in public office, they can't even do that.

I don't think Hochul will, or any of the Democrat State congress or city counsel members would do it.

The Democrats walk lock step with each other.

Recall the Democratic Socialist of America... When they raised their ugly head the Democrats said they were a Big Tent Party instead of denouncing the movement.

NYC should suffer because they voted the commie in.

As for the rest of the State you can vote the idiot you currently have in office as Governor out this November.

I am currious what actual law you believe the Mayor broke or is actually breaking, but while we are here. I'll go along with it if we can impeach Trump for his socialist "Freedom Fuel" which is facing anti trust lawsuits and may possibly even be stolen..

Crimes?? I wasn't sure what @Aaron was talking about... I think if NYC voted for the Commie so be it.

Let them live with the results.

Impeachment leave it be... We had to put up with Joe Biden for 4 years I think y'all should do the same. There are only 2 more years left for Trump's term. Try to come up with policies that people care about and you'll be competitive in 2028.

You're right about that. It's an opportunity for Hochul, but she won't do it because it goes against their logic. Plus, NYC decides who's gonna be governor anyway, so she really isn't going anywhere.

Regarding the Democrat Socialists of America, I know what you mean. And they proved something recently when the house voted to denounce Socialism and the majority of the Democrats voted against it (and in favor of Socialism.)

I'm still not 100% convinced that the DSA are independent of the other Democrats, but I just when I was starting to believe it there was that house vote.

Exactly. They "make" their living off of exploiting the wealth of others.

If there's no one to exploit, they have no income.

Marx figured that out toward his end. The "Rise of the proletariat" never happened. Why? Because capitalism made the working class wealthy as well compared to what they used to be.

Look back at the 1950's. Look at the middle class. Mom who stays home. House. 2 cars. Vacations every year. Never having to worry about heat, water, food, etc.

Compared to the 1920's, these people were "rich".

Not so much anymore. Soros Dems are distancing themselves from the DSA candidates, but quietly.

Recall the Democratic Socialist of America... When they raised their
ugly head the Democrats said they were a Big Tent Party instead of denouncing the movement.

Because they want (need?) the voters but the only socialism they want is the kind where THEY are in charge.

IHMO: If the vote was audited, I don't think he won. I think too many illegals voted, and too many fraudlent ballots were cast.

Capitalism has been good to us, and it's the only economic system that's
fair, but "it's so not fair" for elites who want more control. And they are enjoying the sh~t out of the sales pitches for socialism. "Free money for everyone!" and "Have what your neighbors have!"
